Service Description
Our one-hour horseback riding lessons are designed to build real skills, confidence, and a genuine connection between rider and horse. Each lesson is private and tailored to the rider’s age, experience, and goals—whether you’re brand new to horses or looking to refine your fundamentals. Lessons begin on the ground, where riders learn proper handling, grooming, tacking, and horse safety. In the saddle, instruction focuses on balance, correct posture, clear communication, and calm confidence. Riders progress at their own pace in a supportive, low-pressure environment that prioritizes safety and respect for the horse. Our horses are well-trained, patient, and cared for daily, making them ideal partners for learning. Lessons take place on our working regenerative farm, offering a peaceful, real-world setting that helps riders slow down, focus, and truly learn—not just ride. This is more than a quick lap around a ring. Cancellation Policy
By booking a riding lesson or lesson package with River Mountain Ranch (“RMR”), the participant and/or parent or legal guardian agrees to the following terms: Lesson Package Expiration: 4-Lesson Packages must be completed within 30 days of purchase. 8-Lesson Packages must be completed within 60 days of purchase. Unused lessons expire at the end of the package period and are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not eligible for credit. Cancellations & Rescheduling: A minimum 24-hour notice prior to the scheduled lesson time is required to reschedule. Lessons canceled, changed, or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited with no refund. No-call/no-show appointments will be treated as forfeited lessons. Late Arrival: Riders arriving late will receive instruction only for the remainder of the scheduled lesson time. Riders arriving 15 minutes or more late may be refused riding for safety reasons and the lesson will be considered a no-show. Weather, Horse Health & Safety Conditions: RMR may postpone or cancel lessons at any time due to unsafe weather, unsuitable footing, or horse/animal health concerns. If RMR cancels a lesson, it will be rescheduled at no additional cost. Rider Requirements & Conduct: Riders must meet the age/weight limits for their selected program. Proper attire, including closed-toe shoes or boots, is required. Helmets are required for all riders under 18 and must be worn at all times while mounted. Participants must follow all staff instructions; failure to do so may result in dismissal from the lesson with no refund. Liability Acknowledgement: Participation in equine activities involves inherent risks. By booking, the participant/guardian acknowledges and accepts these risks and agrees to follow all safety guidelines.
