Service Description

Our 4-Lesson Riding Package is designed to help riders build consistency, confidence, and real riding skills through focused, one-on-one instruction. This package is ideal for beginners just starting their horsemanship journey, as well as riders looking to strengthen their foundation or refine existing skills in a structured, supportive environment. Each package includes four private, one-hour lessons taught by experienced CHA Certified Instructor April Lloyd, who tailors every session to the rider’s age, experience level, and personal goals. Lessons are not “one-size-fits-all.” Instruction is intentionally paced to ensure safety, understanding, and steady progress while fostering a positive relationship between rider and horse. Riders will work on both groundwork and mounted skills as appropriate. Instruction may include foundational horsemanship, safe handling and horse behavior, grooming and tacking, proper riding position, balance and body control, and walk, trot, and canter progression based on rider readiness. Emphasis is placed on clear communication, confidence in the saddle, and respect for the horse, creating a well-rounded learning experience that supports long-term success. This package provides enough structure to see meaningful improvement while allowing flexibility to meet the rider where they are. Riders are encouraged to ask questions, set goals, and develop an understanding of why techniques work—not just how to perform them. Whether the focus is building confidence, learning the basics, or advancing riding ability, lessons are designed to support growth at a comfortable and effective pace. In the event of unsafe riding conditions due to weather, up to one lesson per 4-lesson package may be conducted as a groundwork or horsemanship lesson. These sessions offer valuable education in horse handling, safety, communication, and care, ensuring progress continues even when riding is not possible. All lesson packages are prepaid and must be completed within 30 days of purchase, encouraging consistency—an essential component of skill development and rider confidence. Lessons are scheduled based on availability, and safety remains the top priority for both riders and horses. Our 4-Lesson Riding Package is an excellent choice for riders seeking quality instruction, measurable progress, and a thoughtful approach to horsemanship in a calm, supportive setting.
