Service Description

Our Beehive Exploration add-on is a hands-on educational experience designed to give guests a closer look at the incredible role honeybees play on a regenerative farm. During this guided tour, we’ll walk through the basics of hive structure, pollination, honey production, bee behavior, and how bees support healthy ecosystems and food systems. Guests may have the opportunity to observe an active hive from a safe distance, learn about protective equipment, identify different bees within the colony, and ask questions about beekeeping and pollinator health. This experience is educational, interactive, and great for both children and adults interested in farming, nature, and sustainability. Important Safety Information & Liability Notice: Honeybees are active livestock animals and stings are possible during this experience. Participants with known bee sting allergies or severe reactions to insect stings should not participate unless approved by their physician and carrying appropriate emergency medication (such as an EpiPen). By participating in the Beehive Exploration add-on, guests acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor farm activities and live bees, including but not limited to bee stings, allergic reactions, uneven terrain, heat exposure, and contact with natural environmental elements. Closed-toe shoes are required. Participants must follow all staff instructions during the activity for safety purposes. River Mountain Ranch reserves the right to modify or cancel the activity due to weather conditions, hive health, or safety concerns.
